U1415 Implausible/Mising Vehice Configuration Data

Note: This DTC detected in the ORC Module

U1415 code - When monitored this dtc whith the ignition on. The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) on board diagnotics continuosly monitors the CAN Bus message from the TIPM containing the ORC configuration data. Set condition this DTC will set if the ORC configuration Bus message is invalid or missing.

Possible causes UI415 code:

- Occuoant Restraint Controller (ORC)

- Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM)

Diagnostic test U1415 code

Step 1. Verify Totaly Integrated Power Module (TIPM) Operation

Turn the ignition on. With the scan tool, read TIPM DTCs.

Does the scan tool display any TIPM DTC?

Yes , refer to Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) DTC group.

No , go to step  2.

Step 2. Check Operation of the Occupant Restaint Controller

Turn the ignition off, disconnect the 12-volt battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these intructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury. If the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is dropped at any time, it must be replaced. Failure to follow these intructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.

Replace the Occupant Restraint Controller in a accordance with the service information. Turn the ignition on, then reconnect the 12-volt battery and wait two minutes before proceeding.

Use the most current software available. Connect the scan tool to the Data Link connector. Wait one minute, and read active codes and if there are none present read the stored codes.

Did the active U1415-Implausible/Missing Vehicle Configuration Data DTC return?

Yes, replace the Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM).

No, repair is complete.
