U0186 Lost Communication With Audio Amplifier
U0186 code - When monitored continously when the ignition is on. The battery voltage is between 10-16 volts. Ignition off Draw (IOD) fused installed. Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) is configured correctly. Set condition this dtc Bus messages not received from the Audio Amplifier for approximately two five seconds.
Possible causes U0189 code:
- Can Bus Circuits Open or Shorted
- DTCS Related to Battery Voltage, Ignition, or Vin Messages
- Amplifier Power and Ground
- TIPM Not Configurated Correctly
- Amplifier
- Module That Set This DTC
Diagnostic test U0186 code
Step 1. Verify The Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Is Active
Make sure the IOD fuse is installed and the battery is fully charged before proceeding. Turn the ignition on, with the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Is this DTC active?
Yes, refer to Totally Integrated Power Module (TIPM) DTC group.
No, refer to Non-DTC Diagnostics/Communication.
