1. Check for a code C2205 DODGE, JEEP

Note: This DTC must be active for the results of this test to be valid.

Note: Before proceeding with the diagnostic procedure, verify that the connections are properly made, seated and verify proper pin terminal tension. A loose connection at any of the SCCM connectors may cause the DTC set.

Note: If steering system service has been performed and steering angle sensor (SAS) has been installed incorrectly, this DTC may set. Refer to the service information to verify repairs have been performed correctly.

Turn the ignition on, with the scan tool read and recor DTCs. With the scan tool, read and record freeze frame data information. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.

Warning: Make sure brake capability is available before road testing.

Start the vehicle and turn the wheel from lock to lock. Test drive the vehicle by turning the vehicle left or right in a curving manner at a velocity between 10 and 25 km/h (6 and 15 mph). Park the vehicle, with the scan tool, read DTCs.

YES, replace the clockspring. The steering angle sensor is internal to the clockspring. Perform the ABS Verification Test.
